Temporary Teaching Vacancy – Class Teacher, Maternity Cover

 

 Required from 1st November 2021

 

The Nethersole CE Academy, part of the Birmingham Diocese Multi-Academy Trust (BDMAT) is seeking to appoint a full time teacher to cover maternity leave.  We are looking for a dynamic teacher to join our happy and committed key stage 1 team.

We are looking to appoint a teacher with the inspiration and enthusiasm to make a difference to the lives of our children. The successful candidate will be a teacher who is passionate about teaching and learning, who can demonstrate the ability to build strong relationships with children, parents and colleagues.

 

The Nethersole Church of England Academy became a member of the Birmingham Diocesan Multi-Academies Trust (BDMAT) on 1st September 2017. BDMAT is a multi-academy trust comprising of Church of England schools affiliated to the Birmingham Diocese. In addition to working with other primary schools in Birmingham as part of our MAT, we also work with other local schools, which is a great benefit to us.

 

We pride ourselves in our welcoming atmosphere and Christian distinctiveness, during our SIAMS inspection, in 2016, our school was rated ‘good’. Our dedicated staff work hard to provide a high quality learning experience for all our children. In March 2015 the academy was inspected by Ofsted and we were judged to be 'good' in all areas, this has been maintained in a recent Ofsted, February 2019.

Interviews will be held on 7th October, consisting of; a 30 minute lesson observation, RE, followed by formal interview.

Teaching Assistant Level 2 – Fixed term contract to August 2022

25 hours per week (Term time only)

The role

We are looking to appoint an experienced, dedicated and highly motivated Teaching Assistant to join our Upper Key Stage 2 team; who is passionate about encouraging children to achieve. The position will include; working with small groups, supporting the class teacher during whole class situations when required and also to cover whole classes for PPA and short term cover as required.

TEACHING ASSISTANT  Level 2, 1:1 with child with an EHCP

17.5 hours per week, 9:30am – 12.00noon 1:00pm – 2:00pm (these are the preferred times but can be negotiated at interview) Term time only

The Nethersole CE Academy is an academy within BDMAT (Birmingham Diocesan Multi-Academy Trust). We are seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and hard-working Teaching Assistant to join our academy. The successful candidate will support in Key Stage 2 and work 1-1 with a child with an EHCP.

We are looking to appoint someone who is sympathetic to our Christian Distinctiveness and understands and is committed to living out our vision and values. Applicants must have recent experience of working in Education and preferably in Key Stage 2. The successful applicant will work under the direction of the class teacher and SENDco.


The successful candidate will have experience supporting children with SEND and preferably experience in supporting children with ASD.

We require a Teaching Assistant who:

  • has energy and a positive work ethic;
  • is able to manage a physically demanding role
  • has the ability to develop children’s independence;
  • is a team player and can demonstrate collaborative strategies;
  • has high expectations of themselves and others;
  • uses their initiative and can work independently as well as under the direction of the class teacher.
