Pupil Premium
The Pupil Premium is funding provided to schools which is additional to main school funding. It is allocated according to the number on roll who are eligible for free school meals (FSM), as well as children who are Looked After (in care) or children of service families. In 2012 funding was extended to include pupils who have been eligible for free school meals at any time they have been at the school, this is known as Ever 6 funding.
It is for schools to decide how Pupil Premium is spent, since they are best placed to assess what additional provision will help these children at school. However they have to be accountable to how that is spent, so information has to be published on the school website, which you can access below:
