MIDDAY SUPERVISOR – 2 Posts

We are seeking to appoint Midday Supervisors, to start as soon as possible.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic team player, who is committed to promoting a positive ethos and willing to engage children in constructive play, games and activities. Staff will supervise children on the playground and in the dining hall, having high expectations of behaviour and ensuring their welfare and safety. A friendly and positive attitude is essential.

Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage.

Hours of work 11.55 am to 13.10 pm Mon to Fri, term time only

CLOSING DATE 10th October 2018

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: Scale 6

Before and After School Club Assistant

 

Required as soon as possible

 

Part-time, Permanent (Hours to be discussed at interview)

 

The Nethersole CofE Academy is part of the Birmingham Diocese Academy Trust. We are looking to appoint a Before and After School Club Assistant for our Cedars club which offers before and after school care for children aged from 3 – 11.

We are looking for someone who can provide care and play opportunities in a safe and secure environment and works effectively as part of a team.

The role has considerable impact on the well-being of individuals or groups and must respond to the needs of children within the before and after school club to the agreed standards, policies and procedures.

The role of After School Club Assistant

  • Is involved in the planning, alongside the club co-ordinator, and reviewing of activities undertaken in the club.
  • Needs to liaise with parents as required.
  • Provides equality of opportunity to all children within the club environment.
  • Must work within the Children’s Act ensuring that standards and guidelines are adhered to.
  • Administer first aid as appropriate.(Following appropriate training)
  • Understand and ensure Child Protection and Safeguarding procedures, Equal Opportunities, Health & Safety policies and confidentiality and data protection procedures are adhered to at all times.
  • There is no direct responsibility for staff, finance or physical resources.

As an After School Club Assistant, your key skills and experience will include:

Desirable

  • Be qualified to GCSE level with a grade 4 (C) or above in Maths and English
  • NVQ in EY or equivalent or be studying towards it
  • Have good communication, listening and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Have awareness of Safeguarding and Health and Safety policies
  • A commitment to undergo training as and when required
  • Have experience of working with children aged 3-11
