Welcome to Year 3/4
Hello and welcome to the Lower Key Stage 2, Year 3/4 class page. In Year 3/4, we have three classes: Angelou, Morpurgo and Earhart.
Angelou's class teacher is Miss Becker.
Morpurgo's class teacher is Mr Glover-King.
Earhart's class teacher is Miss Clayton.
Other members of staff are: our phase lead, Mrs Gavan (assistant head teacher and 5/6 teacher), Miss Brookes and Mrs Hudson, who are our teaching assistants and support children across the key stage. Additionally we have: Miss Deakin who teaches Angelou class all day Monday; Mrs Henry who teaches Morpurgo class on Thursday afternoon and Mr Jennings who teaches Earhart class on Thursday afternoon. Miss Ward-Lewis will also be joining Angelou class every afternoon.
We also have Mrs Morrell, who is currently on maternity leave.
PE days are:
Morpurgo: Tuesday and Friday afternoon
Earhart: Tuesday and Thursday afternoon
Angelou: Monday and Tuesday afternoon
Children are expected to come to school in their PE kits on their PE days. PE will take place outside, unless there is bad weather - so please dress accordingly. There is a branded school PE kit available, or children can wear: plain white t-shirt, plain black shorts, plain black jogging bottoms and trainers with socks (trainers do not need to be black).
Jewellery MUST not be worn during PE lessons and cannot be removed by members of staff. Items such as earrings should not be worn on PE days.
At The Nethersole CE Academy, we use the Jigsaw scheme in order to teach the PHSCE curriculum. You are welcome to view the overview for the term here. Please do not hesitate to contact your class teacher with any questions.
